13 Jan First Week of 2014 Sketches

On the 3rd of January I came across my old art bin of derwent graphic pencils, cray-pas, micron pens, prismacolor pencils and charcoal. I was so emotional at the sight. YES! They appeared, as if by magic, knowing that I had started this 365 day project…a sketch for each day of 2014.

Here are some of the sketches for this first week and a half of January 2014.

      Thanks Karen! Yes it is. I enjoyed reading your posts on your own 365 project. Did you do this in 2013? I am finding it a really good daily practice…challenging to fit in on some days. Sometimes those days deliver the happy surprises. 😉

        Thank you. I did do it for 2013. It became so addicting I just decided to keep it up for 2014. The fact that I share my doodles though I have to take the time to remind myself that sketching is free play. It’s my time to Rey out things and it doesn’t need to be. That’s something I realized I wasn’t doing by the end of the year.
        When I started it was a challenge to find the time. But now my days would feel weird without.
