Studio tour

I work from my light filled home studio in Wilmette, Illinois. This is my happy place.

Welcome!

I create all of my original artwork in my home studio, which we added above our garage in 2016. I paint primarily watercolors and acrylic paintings and occasionally use goache and sumi inks. I release seasonal collections to my shop a few times a year and will list paintings as I create them so that you’ll always find something new!

I love to paint intuitively and create abstract expressionistic paintings that evoke beauty and emotion. I also love working with people to create something truly custom and original to them and their home.

I’ll work with color and fabric swatches, shapes and pattern to create an abstract painting that is one of a kind.

I’d be happy to create something like this for you…

My Plant Cells were born out of an obsession with black and white and a dense post-baby fog. They rolled out of me like a moving storm of clouds.

I have a series of simple abstract watercolor line paintings that a lot of designers love to work with. My “Plant Cell” abstracts were born out of an obsession with black and white and a dense post-baby fog. Their movement and organic gesture is captured in the simple and natural beauty of watercolor.

I named them “Plant Cells” because they drew up a memory of observing plant life under microscopes. Elementary school. The organic nature of watercolor paint splitting and reconnecting as it channels through water, like cells evolving. I see these pieces as connection to nature, memory, self and each other.

My Plant Cells were born out of an obsession with black and white and a dense post-baby fog. They rolled out of me like a moving storm of clouds.
